With a festive atmosphere, outstanding performances and many memorable moments, the 15th edition of the “Teuta” Festival of Old Urban Song was successfully held, organized by the NI Cultural Center – Tetovo.

This cultural evening brought the richness of traditional Albanian urban song to the stage in Tetovo, bringing together artists, choirs, groups and ensembles from North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. Through their performances, the participants shared with the audience the sounds, melodies and valuable motifs of our musical heritage.

The 15th edition featured the “Teuta” Women’s Choir – Tetovo, artists from the “Vaçe Zela” Art Center – Lushnjë, the State Ensemble of Albanian Songs and Dances in North Macedonia, the “Haki Stërmilli” Cultural Center – Peshkopi, the “Rilindja” Group – Gjakova, as well as Ms. Lumturie Nonaj from Albania, whose performance on the lahuta added a distinctive artistic and traditional dimension to the program.

Throughout its 15 editions, the “Teuta” Festival has created an important cultural bridge between artists and institutions from the Albanian-speaking regions, contributing to the preservation and promotion of old urban song as an integral part of our cultural heritage.
